Here is a chorological summery of my musical endeavours and a list of the most significant moments.

The 60’s
My musical beginnings. I play the guitar and sing rock ‘n roll songs. This is my “big beat” period – "Little Richard", "The Rolling Stones" and “Yardbirds" were my sources of inspiration.

The 70’s
I am the co-founder of my first band with which I play and for which I also compose some of the songs – generally in the folk style. I become more influenced by  Celtic music such as "Steeleye Span", Alan Stivell", "Malicorne", "Clannad" and many others. In addition I collaborate with my Father who then authors most of the lyrics to my songs. A songbook entitled “Songs of Our Family” is created. This cooperation lasts until his passing away at the late 80’s. One of the first texts is written by my sister Zina.

The 80’s
Creation of the band Cantores Bohemiae in which the “pseudorenaissance” sound of my melodies is born.  Mostly I compose these songs using the texts of classical Czech and foreign poetry (in Czech translation).

The 90’s
Cantores Bohemiae continues to play with various band members until the mid-nineties. During this time we experience a whole range of interesting performances – to mention just a few: Porta festival in the 80’s, Rubín Theatre in the 90’s, Toèník, Loket, Køivoklát castles etc… we also acted as accompaniment for various fencing performances and must not forget our foreign concerts in the Italian town of Vareze, a number of stays at Chateau du Magnet in France (near Merc sur Indre) site of a wonderful medieval skansen. We also recorded two albums Cantores Bohemiae – “Songs from Charles Bridge I and II”. Around this time I started becoming far more independent and I become very influenced by the gothic period. This is due to my meeting Tippelklimper, a German band, with which I occasionally played. As a result I acquire numerous other period instruments (schalmei, shawm, Bohemian bagpipes, crumhorn, cittern, hurdy gurdy...). My first shawm and Bohemian bagpipes are gifts from Michael Bach, the leader of the band. I become a permanent part of the Faber project (a mediaeval village). I am a guest performer at many Czech castles. Every year I participate in the city celebrations of Mladá Boleslav and I play at international festivals of medieval music and street musicians (Segovia - Spain, Saint Malo – Brittany, Fridrichshafen – Germany, Linz, Villach, Feldkirch – Austria). The opportunity to perform at celebrations in his gallery in Mostecká street in Prague by painter Reon Argodien is was also very interesting. I perform the role of minessanger in Tomáš Belk’s play “The Death of Wenceslas II” at Prague’s “U hasièù” theatre and I also write the music accompanying the play. In addition to these solo activities I form the band Jagabab, which acts as a period musical group. After about one year I leave Jagabab and with my blessings the group continues to interpret my compositions. I return to the solo role of a troubadour.

The New Millennium
Continues in much the same vein and yet with certain changes. These concern Charles Bridge for example, where I performed for many a year, even during under the totalitarian regime in fact. After the “changing of hands” in November I played here very often and the bridge became my home base. Unfortunately beginning in 1993 a group of merchants called “Association of Charles Bridge artists o.s.” took over the bridge and Prague 1 basically granted them unlimited privileges which, unfortunately, go against all reason as well as the act on civic associations. I have frequently criticised the state of affairs on the bridge and have made no secret of my opinions. As a result I was maltreated and eventually (in 2005) completely banished from the bridge. However I have not yet given in and am fighting against the merchants as much as possible, even through court. I, as well as my friends and musicians, hope that the situation on Charles Bridge will eventually improve for the better.
I continue to play in Nerudova street, at Malé námìstí and at Hradèaské námìstí (Castle Square).  There are other new places where I have begun to perform – Grabštejn castle, Saint Chartier, the Toulon Celtic festival, Dìtenice, Cheb, and so on...
I wrote the music to the performance of the renowned Czech puppet maker Pavel Vangeli – “Fool’s Bravery” and for a number of years also had an engagement at the Estate Theatre in Prague – as the musician in “Romeo and Juliet”. I also published a videocassette called “Songs of a Roaming Bard” and shortly thereafter the new solo CD “Roaming Bard” was born. Over time, I have focused more and more on playing the hurdy gurdy and in summer of 2004, together with guitar player Zdenìk Hrášek and singer Petr Opava we form the band “W.O.H” with which we have many performances and also issue a new CD “W.O.H”. However the band broke up in November 2007.
Currently, I am working with further musicians and bands, for example Tippelklimper or the Czech band Piosenki. I have also started to play the small harp and am rehearsing with violoncello player Jiøí Jelínek. On May 4th 2007 my 3rd solo CD called “Sung Poetry” came out on which I primarily play the small harp and the hurdy gurdy.
I began to work together with Pavel Vangeli once again, I accompany the play "Fool's Bravery" live on medieval musical instruments and at the same time I adapt the music for the performance. A new group named Ameba is also forming with Jiří Jelínek on the violoncello and Zdeněk Hrášek on string instruments, in which I play the hurdy gurdy, harp and wind instruments.
